The SaaS Homepage Conversion Checklist (2026 Edition)
A practical, no-fluff checklist for turning your SaaS homepage into a demo-booking machine — hero copy, proof, pricing clarity and CTAs that convert.

Most SaaS homepages don’t fail because of bad design. They fail because a visitor can’t answer three questions in five seconds: What is this? Is it for me? What do I do next?
Here’s the checklist we run on every homepage before it ships.
1. Hero: say the outcome, not the feature
Your headline should describe the result your customer wants, in their words. Features belong in the subhead.
- Headline — the outcome (“Close your books in 2 days, not 10”).
- Subhead — who it’s for and how it works, in one sentence.
- One primary CTA — “Book a demo” or “Start free”. Not both at equal weight.
- Proof within the fold — a logo strip, a rating, or a single metric.
If a stranger can’t repeat your value proposition after one glance, rewrite it.
2. Proof that matches your buyer
Logos work for enterprise buyers. For founders, specific numbers and named testimonials work better. Mix both:
- Customer logos (ideally from your target segment)
- One quantified case study (“cut onboarding time by 43%”)
- A face and a name on every testimonial
3. Make pricing un-scary
Hidden pricing kills self-serve conversions. If you sell sales-led, at least show a “starts at” number or the pricing model. Ambiguity reads as “expensive”.
4. Repeat the CTA at every decision point
Visitors decide at different scroll depths. Place your primary CTA:
- In the nav (always visible)
- In the hero
- After the proof section
- After pricing / FAQ
- In the footer
5. Speed is a conversion feature
Every extra second of load time costs conversions. Aim for a Largest Contentful Paint under 2.5s on mobile, compress images to AVIF/WebP, and self-host fonts with font-display: swap.
6. Answer objections in the FAQ
Your FAQ is a sales call in text form. Use it for real objections — price, timeline, migration risk, “can my team update it?” — and mark it up with FAQ schema so it can show in search.
The quick audit
| Check | Pass? |
|---|---|
| Outcome-led headline | ☐ |
| Single primary CTA above the fold | ☐ |
| Proof visible without scrolling | ☐ |
| Pricing or pricing model visible | ☐ |
| CTA repeated after each section | ☐ |
| Mobile LCP < 2.5s | ☐ |
| FAQ addresses top 5 objections | ☐ |
Score less than 5/7? That’s where your pipeline is leaking. Our CRO and experimentation programme finds and fixes those leaks, and we design launch sites for SaaS teams with this checklist built in.
